CAMBRIDGE INVESTMENTS & RESESARCH: Cambridge Community of Women Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Cambridge Investments & Research issued the following announcement on Jan. 13.
Cambridge is excited to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Cambridge Community of Women, a group created with the intent of supporting women in the advice industry. The group’s purpose is to bring more women professionals into the industry, move more women into leadership roles, and empower women to seize opportunities and thrive.
Currently, Cambridge women advisors are represented in Cambridge’s Leader’s Club, Signature Club, and Premier Club. Many women are also active across advisory councils ranging from regulatory change to next generation investors and advisors. Additionally, women at the home office represent nearly 70 percent of Cambridge associates, 56 percent of assistant vice presidents, 50 percent of vice presidents, and 30 percent of Cambridge senior executives.
"Reaching this milestone would not be possible without the powerful women of this community and their dedication to inspire change. With the support and collaboration of our male counterparts, we are proud to be making a lasting impact on one another and together on the industry,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Amy Webber. “We look forward to the continued success of the Cambridge Community of Women and the individuals within it for decades to come.”
About the Cambridge Community of Women
The Cambridge Community of Women is about encouraging more women professionals to engage in the advice industry, not fewer men. The group of financial professionals joins together for an engaging discussion over lunch each year at Ignite, Cambridge’s national conference, along with the Women Advisors Forum, an event where women come together to share ideas, connect, and learn. The Cambridge Women Advisors Forum is hosted by women leaders from the Cambridge home office and brings together this collaborative community for a day and a half of networking with each other, sharing best practices, and inspiring one another with new ideas to take back to their practices – and their lives. As a firm and a community, the focus is on bringing more women into the advice industry, helping more women move into leadership and mentorship roles, and empowering more women to seize opportunities and thrive as financial professionals.
