Cambridge Investments & Research issued the following announcement on Dec.18.

Cambridge has promoted Mark Thornton to director of Information Technology Operations. In this role, he provides leadership oversight to the Production Support Application, Database Administration, SharePoint Administration, and IT Operations Teams. Thornton also plays a key role in designing strategic plans and delivering communication across the Technology department.

Thornton joined Cambridge in 2011 and has nearly 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and business administration from Coe College. Additionally, he has completed the Cambridge Aspiring Leaders Program and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
