SunTrust named official bank for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
SunTrust Banks Inc. has been approved by the Atlanta City Council to be the official banking partner for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The decision allows SunTrust to open a branch, one Teller Connect (live video teller) machine, and up to 16 ATMs in the airport. Replacing 10 Wells Fargo ATMs, SunTrust Banks is expected to be operational within six to nine months with its ATMs situated in the airport's international and domestic concourses and its full-service branch located in the main domestic terminal.
"Atlanta is our hometown and we look forward to expanding our reach to provide convenient banking services to the clients and visitors who travel through this great city," Mark Chancy, co-chief operating officer and consumer segment executive for SunTrust, said. "Our partnership with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport gives us the opportunity to serve the 104 million travelers and 63,000 airport employees as they navigate and staff the world's busiest airport every day."
The 16 ATMs in the airport will be an added number to the current 60 SunTrust Banks ATMs in Atlanta
