Starion Bank recently elevated team member Mike Wickham to the position of business banking officer and vice president at the bank’s Urban Plains branch in Fargo.

Wickham’s tenure with the institution dates to 2008. Over the past 10 years he has taken on increasing responsibilities and now will oversee customer relations and loan portfolios as well.

The newly promoted officer graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and subsequently earned an M.B.A. from the University of Mary, also in North Dakota.

With strong community ties, Wickham serves as a board member for Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest; additionally, he volunteers for the United Way of Cass-Clay.

Starion Bank itself supports the local area. Recently it contributed a $250 “Kindness Cash” donation to Habitat for Humanity of Dane County in honor of National Community Banking Month after soliciting nominations for different charities at three of its branches, its leaders citing the bank’s commitment to giving back to the community, according to Starion’s website.

With corporate headquarters based in Bismarck, the banking firm provides business, personal, private, insurance, mortgage and investment resources, including agribusiness. Starion’s locations include Bismarck, Mandan, Fargo, Oakes, Ellendale, Dunseith, Rolla, Middleton, Monona and Sun Prairie.
