Apervita names Bradley to serve as board chair
Apervita Inc. recently appointed entrepreneur and technologist James Bradley as the company's board of directors chair and independent director.
Bradley, a health industry veteran, has partnered with the federal government on national health care programs and has built several successful health startups. He also served as United Healthcare's chief information officer, McKesson Corp.'s chief technology strategy officer, and National Committee for Quality Assurance chair.
“I am excited to serve as chairman of the board of Apervita,” Bradley said in a statement. “What Apervita has already accomplished is not previously seen in health care. That is a true testament to the leadership team and its vision. By building a platform that empowers the industry to deliver value faster and reduce cost across many areas of care, they are providing a capability that is truly revolutionary for the industry."
Bradley is also a member of the Apixio and NovuHealth's boards, serving as chair. He is also the founder of abaton.com and RxHub, which is now Surescripts.
"Jim is a luminary that has built industry-scale health information platforms and companies that serve every corner of the industry," Apervita CEO and founder Paul Magelli said in a joint statement. "We are delighted to work with Jim as we expand our network and accelerate Apervita’s growth."
