Midland National Life Insurance employees Kayla Dill, Janelle Peterson and Joshua Woodward recently completed the Fellow, Secure Retirement Institute (FSRI), a professional development program focused on retirement planning offered by the Life Office Management Association (LOMA).
“This was truly an industry collaboration," Kathy Milligan, senior vice president of LOMA's Education and Training Division, said in a statement. "The FSRI program has highly relevant and comprehensive content thanks to the outstanding industry support we received. More than 200 professionals representing a broad cross-section of retirement organizations participated as subject experts and reviewers for courses in the Fellow, Secure Retirement Institute program."
The FSRI program, which began in 2013, includes seven courses of curriculum focused on the retirement industry. The program includes education on plans and products as well an understanding of retirement planning decisions. The curriculum is designed for those in asset management firms, insurance companies, distribution organizations and recordkeeping companies.
Participants get a look at a variety of viewpoints regarding retail and institutional marketplaces, both public and private-sector plans, tax issues and asset topics.
LOMA, an insurance and financial services international trade association, offers educational resources that are recognized across the globe.
