A leading wealth management team led by Jim Atwood recently joined First Republic Bank's (FRC)  private wealth management group.

Formerly with Merrill Lynch, Atwood brings with him Jeff Atwood, Tom O’Brien, Julie Rousseau, McLane Cover, Brendan York, and Zach Calahan, in addition to his own client services and operations professionals. 

“Jim and his team have a very successful track record of developing customized solutions for many clients with diverse needs,” Bob Thornton, president of First Republic Private Wealth Management, said in a recent press release from the private bank. “Jim and all of our new team members share First Republic’s commitment to exceptional client service. We’re very pleased to welcome them to our expanding group of wealth professionals in Boston.” 

The new team will provide investment management, retirement planning and other wealth management services to First Republic Bank's customers. 

With more than 30 years of experience customizing wealth management plans for high net worth clients, Jim Atwood was named one of the “Top 100 Financial Advisors in the Nation” from 2012 to 2016 and the top wealth adviser in Massachusetts in 2014 by Barron's magazine. In addition, he was ranked as one of the top advisers in Massachusetts this year by Forbes.
