Principal Financial Group named top destination for executive women
The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) has included Principal Financial Group in its list of companies where women have a significant influence on company decisions.
“At Principal, we believe in developing outstanding female leaders and are extremely proud to receive NAFE’s prestigious recognition for 17 consecutive years,” Principal President, CEO and Chairman Dan Houston said in a news release. “This represents another step forward for Principal as we continue to grow our already strong roster of female senior leaders and board members.
According to the news release, women comprise almost 42 percent of Principal executives and women outnumber men by more than 50 in management. Additionally, Principal’s newly promoted Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Deanna Strable is now one of 58 women serving in CFO roles at Fortune 500 companies
“Providing our female workers, and all employees, with the right development and leadership opportunities is critical to building a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equality at Principal,” Houston said.
