Gates appointed to board of directors at Raymond James Financial
Raymond James Financial has appointed Anne Gates to the board of directors and named her to the Audit and Risk Committee.
“As a client-focused firm, we are excited to add Anne’s extensive board and leadership experience in consumer-facing industries to our board,” Raymond James Financial Chairman and CEO Paul Reilly said. “I am confident she will provide valuable insights to help continue our legacy of conservative, thoughtful growth.”
Gates' appointment follows Jeff Edwards’ move to the Corporate Governance, Nominating and Compensation Committee.
Gates is experienced in retail and consumer products. Her previous positions include president of MGA Entertainment; executive vice president and CFO for Disney Consumer Products; and managing director for Disney Consumer Products Europe and Emerging Markets. She has also had roles with PepsiCo and Bear Stearns.
Gates’ current roles include being the chairwoman of Big Sunday; serving as a board member for The Kroger Co., Tapestry, and CADRE; serving as a trustees for PBS SoCal and the University of California, Berkeley Foundation; and serving on the board of visitors for the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University.
