Contos flying solo as CEO of RE/MAX Holdings
Adam Contos, former co-CEO of RE/MAX Holdings, assumed all CEO responsibilities at the company this week.
Contos was appointed to serve as co-CEO with his predecessor and RE/MAX Holdings co-founder, David Liniger, in May 2017.
Liniger will transition to non-executive chairman and will retain his role on the RE/MAX Holdings board.
"[Contos] is a talented and respected RE/MAX Holdings executive who combines an in-depth knowledge of the industry with an equally strong desire to drive RE/MAX forward and build on its success by leveraging technology and focusing on innovation,” Richard Covey, lead director of the RE/MAX Holdings board, said.
Contos previously served as chief operating officer of RE/MAX Holdings. He joined the firm in 2004 and went on to hold various leadership positions, such as region vice president, vice president of region development, and senior vice president of marketing.
RE/MAX Holdings is the parent company of real estate brokerage firm RE/MAX and mortgage brokerage franchise Motto Mortgage.
