First Republic welcomes new managing directors
First Republic Bank has added financial services and wealth management industry veterans Matthew Babrick and James Wilcox to their Century City office as managing directors.
Babrick and Wilcox will work with individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits and foundations on investment management and retirement planning among other wealth management services.
"Matthew Babrick and James Wilcox are two very accomplished wealth managers who share First Republic's commitment to exceptional client service," First Republic Private Wealth Management President Bob Thornton said in a news release. "Matthew and James have extensive experience helping clients achieve their wealth management objectives, and they are a terrific complement to our private wealth management capabilities in Southern California."
Babrick, who holds an MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and a bachelor of science from Indiana University, has worked in the financial services field for over 14 years. Prior to joining First Republic, he served at Goldman Sachs for over 10 years including serving as vice president in the company's investment management division.
Wilcox, who formally served as the press secretary to U.S. House Ways and Means Chair Bill Archer in the U.S. House of Representatives, earned his MBA from Columbia University. He has over 18 years of experience working in wealth management, including serving as vice president for Goldman Sachs' Investment Management Division.
